Valley Oaks Center for Enriched Studies Magnet is designed for students who are pursuing an education that fosters creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and rigorous academic pathways. Our goal is to offer various enrichment opportunities within academic core classes and student interest electives such as culinary arts, and film production. Each of the core classes themes its data-driven instruction through an enriched studies lens by which students view what they are learning. As students move through the program, they have the choice of selecting either a Culinary Arts pathway or Film Production pathway leading to acquiring certification by Career Technical Pathways. The various opportunities further their understanding of applying their learning in real-world scenarios is what makes this program a significant experience for students.
